Certain things like sunshine, water, nutrition, mindfulness and emotional regulation (by yourself and/or with a therapist’s help), sleep, exercise, human connection, helping others to boost self-esteem need to be validated more.  One doesn’t have to be a doctor to agree with me, these are essential parts of living that God included in our design that fulfill our health.  Also, more money should not be going to pharmaceutical companies, rather to teaching parents how to raise their kids, and to providing good healthcare in schools.

This article came out in 2016, and I am so glad something is being done about over-medication in the world:

“Caution!  Diagnosis Creep” by Ray Moynihan:  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4917625/

Please read and pass on to your loved ones.  There is so much we have to regenerate our minds, spirits, and bodies already on this planet.  We just have to learn to work together more, and be ourselves naturally (in mind, body, and spirit). I am forever progressing, only because I’m living, and constantly changing, evolving, hurting, healing, and growing.  If anyone tells you you “aren’t good enough,” “need work,” or a “work-in-progress” he or she can screw themselves, in my honest opinion.  Most likely, he or she is the one that needs some much needed self-reflection and regulation, or just be put behind bars (depending on the severity of the case).  For instance, in this day and age, technology is making it easier for one to stalk others. I’ve been a target before, myself, and know that one cannot be too careful.  Thankfully, nothing escalated too far, because I took action, and didn’t doubt myself or brush it off as me “just being paranoid.”

If you think you are a victim of this, please go to: National Center for Victims of Crime

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Remember you have the ability to heal better than you realize.

Love, Heather

I love to write, cook, and take photos. As an INFP personality type, I truly care about others and my values. I'm a fraternal twin, have two older brothers, and I served in AmeriCorps. I love my family and my boyfriend. They rock! For years, I collaborated online with Stuart Armitage (UK). Our band, The Lyre Effect, released several albums, though we never met in person. Additionally, I've written a novel, novella, poetry book, and children's book series. Being into the visual arts from a young age, I've had my artwork featured in several gallery exhibits, enjoyed providing assistance on music video sets, as well as acted in and co-directed a few short films. Playing piano and singing are also passions of mine (wrote my first song and poem when I was 9 years old). Currently, I'm part of the writing group, Lead Us Ink, and published my first poetry book in 2015. In this technological age, I think it's important to share the written word, something that will always be sacred and personal. I hope this blog will help me to connect more with others, and I look forward to networking with readers like you. I want to find out about new music, interesting articles, and artwork. So, please, reach out to me. I might even have some good suggestions for you. Take care, and happy reading!
